STORY

The Visual Comfort Darlana Hexagonal Lantern Pendant is a ceiling-mounted lantern-style pendant from Visual Comfort, designed by Chapman & Myers as part of the Darlana range. Its faceted, geometric silhouette references traditional lanterns while remaining distinctly architectural.

The design uses a hexagonal, open-frame cage formed from slender metal rods with a tapered profile that is wider at the centre and narrows towards the edges. It is offered in Polished Nickel, Antique-Burnished Brass, Gilded Iron and Aged Iron, and available in Small, Medium and Large sizes.

The frame deliberately omits glass panels to create a minimalist, airy aesthetic and a sharp structural silhouette. The metalwork, chain and round tiered canopy share a uniform finish, while a central stem supports the internal light cluster.

The pendant houses a three-light cluster on candelabra-style sockets; flame-shaped bulbs are shown in the product imagery. The open construction lets light circulate freely, making the fitting a decorative source of ambient illumination and a sculptural focal point.

Suspension is via a chain link system that allows adjustable hanging height and installation from the tiered ceiling canopy. The fitting accommodates three candelabra lamps — please consult the supplier or product specification for lamp inclusion, recommended lamp types and dimming compatibility. A 1 year warranty is recorded with the product details.
