STORY

The Visual Comfort Darlana Pendant Lantern, designed by Chapman & Myers, is an extra‑large ceiling pendant that references classic lantern form while using an open metal frame for an airy presence. Constructed from metal with a visible aged iron finish option, it is intended as a decorative ambient fixture for living rooms, dining areas and bedrooms.

The lantern is a tapered, geometric open-cage with a pyramidal cap and a decorative loop at the top where the matching chain suspends the fixture from a 19cm round canopy. It is available in Polished Nickel, Gilded Iron and Aged Iron finishes to suit a range of interior palettes.

Build quality is evident in the thin linear metal rods and the exposed structural frame; the design is glassless for unobstructed light and easy bulb access. The pendant hangs from a chain with the electrical cord run discreetly through the links for a clean profile.

The Darlana Extra‑Large uses six internal E14 candelabra sockets (max 60W per lamp) arranged on a central cross-arm to deliver balanced ambient light and gentle shadowing typical of multiple candle-style sources. Its open form gives clarity of light and a warm atmosphere without diffusion panels.

Technical notes: overall height 86.4cm and width 61cm, canopy 19cm round, chain supplied (approx. 6'), weight 8.2kg, IP20 (indoor use), Class I earthing required. Lamps are specified as 6 x E14 candelabra; bulbs are not listed as included. A one‑year manufacturer warranty applies.
