STORY

The Visual Comfort Cristol Small Single Sconce is a decorative wall-mounted light by Aerin Lauder for Visual Comfort. The Cristol sconce combines a gently curved metal arm and a rounded white frosted glass globe to deliver considered, indoor accent lighting.

The design is deliberately organic: a slender, arching arm flows into a tapered cap that sits atop the globe, creating a continuous, fluid silhouette. The sconce is offered in Hand‑Rubbed Antique Brass and Polished Nickel to suit warm or cooler interior palettes.

Construction pairs metalwork with a rounded, slightly domed backplate and a spherical glass shade. The metal finish is hand‑rubbed to produce a subtly varied, aged character, while the globe shows a milky, lightly striated surface rather than a uniform flat white.

The white frosted globe functions as a diffuser, producing a soft, even glow ideal for ambient or accent illumination. The light source is housed within the globe and appears as a central point when lit, providing clear, gentle illumination without sharp glare.
