Visual Comfort Cordtlandt Semi-Flush Ceiling Light from the Cordtlandt range, by designer Alexa Hampton, is a semi-flush mount ceiling light intended for indoor ambient illumination. The design pairs a tapered drum shade with a restrained metal detail to give a graphic, modern silhouette.

The shade is a tapered drum, wider at the base, finished in white linen to provide soft diffusion. A bold horizontal metal band in Aged Iron encircles the shade; the Cordtlandt range is also available in Burnished Brass and Polished Nickel, offering straightforward finish choices to suit a scheme.

Construction combines a metal frame and canopy with a fabric shade. The ceiling canopy and finial are finished to match the metal detail, and the inner canopy shows a contrasting metallic gold or brass tone that subtly warms the light when installed.

Light is delivered as gentle, ambient illumination through the linen diffuser. The semi-flush mounting creates a small gap between canopy and shade so light can reflect off the metallic inner finish, adding warmth and reducing flatness. Note the product carries an IP20 rating and is specified for indoor use only.

The fixture uses a central finial that secures the shade assembly, indicating a screw-on bottom fixing for straightforward installation. A 1-year warranty is provided.
