STORY

Visual Comfort Clarkson Pivoting Sconce, designed by Aerin Lauder for the Clarkson range, is a decorative wall-mounted light that pairs metal hardware with a cinched linen shade. The fixture presents a mid-century inspired silhouette while serving as an interior accent light for living spaces, hallways and bedrooms.

The design is defined by an hourglass or bow-tie linen shade cinched at the middle by a circular metal ring. It is offered in two finishes: Hand-Rubbed Antique Brass and Polished Nickel, giving straightforward options to suit warm or cooler schemes.

Construction combines a metal body with a visible, tiered circular backplate and a short horizontal arm that supports the shade ring. The hand-rubbed antique brass finish has a soft, non-reflective patina that complements the fine-weave linen.

Light is delivered both through the fabric and from the open top and bottom of the shade, producing a soft, diffused glow alongside defined uplight and downlight. A pivot joint where the arm meets the shade ring allows the shade to be angled vertically or horizontally to direct accent light.

This sconce is rated IP20 for interior, dry-zone use and includes a 1-year warranty. The circular backplate and side-set mounting screw are visible design details; installers should refer to the supplied fixings and site wiring requirements when mounting.
