STORY

The Visual Comfort Carew Linear Sconce is a vertically oriented decorative wall light designed by Chapman & Myers for the Carew range. The slim, elongated form pairs metal framing with frosted glass diffusers to deliver a calm ambient presence for bedrooms, living rooms, hallways and bathrooms.

Formally the sconce features two cylindrical diffusers divided by a central metal collar and a slender cage-like framework. It is offered in Polished Nickel and Antique Brass finishes and its narrow profile is well suited to flanking mirrors, doorways or other constrained wall spaces.

Constructed from metal and glass, the design shows a tiered central band and subtle vertical metal fins that create depth around the luminous sections. The central collar conceals the mounting interface and wiring, reflecting considered craft and detailing.

Light is emitted from two E14 candelabra fittings, producing a bi-directional up-and-down distribution through frosted diffusers for even, glare-controlled ambience. The fitting is specified for decorative and ambient tasks rather than concentrated task lighting.
