STORY

The Visual Comfort Capri Wall Sconce, designed by Thomas O’Brien for Visual Comfort, pairs a polished metal stem with a tapered white shade to create a refined decorative wall light intended for indoor ambient illumination.

Its form reads as a slender, torchere-like silhouette: an elongated vertical stem with turned metal detailing, a small circular mounting plate and a smooth spherical finial. The design balances traditional torch lighting cues with a clean, contemporary finish.

Constructed in metal with a highly reflective polished finish, the fitting includes a neutral white tapered shade that may be fabric or paper. The visible details — turned neck elements and a rounded finial — underline careful metalwork and finish quality.

The tapered shade softens and diffuses the lamp’s output while directing light both upwards and downwards, making the sconce suitable for creating ambient wall illumination and vertical visual interest when mounted at eye level.

The fitting is designed to be hardwired into a standard wall junction box via the circular metal backplate. It carries an IP20 rating and is for indoor, dry locations.
