STORY

The Visual Comfort Capri Sconce, designed by Thomas O'Brien, is a decorative wall light that pairs a tapered fabric shade with a polished metal frame. Its refined profile suits hallways, bedrooms and living rooms where a quiet, balanced ambience is required.

Formally, the design centres on a long vertical rod that runs through a circular, tiered backplate to create a symmetrical, architectural silhouette. The shade sits on a small flared metal base above the rod, while a subtle ball finial provides a considered finishing detail.

Constructed from metal with a highly reflective polished chrome (nickel-silver) finish and a white fabric conical shade, the Capri combines traditional shade detailing with a modern reflective frame. The circular backplate conceals wiring and secures the fitting neatly to the wall.

The fabric shade is designed to diffuse light, producing a soft, even glow that reduces glare and defines a warm atmosphere. As a wall-mounted decorative sconce it provides ambient light and can complement task lighting when used alongside reading or vanity fittings.
