STORY

The Visual Comfort Cannes Table Lamp is a sculptural table light designed by Aerin Lauder for Visual Comfort. The Cannes range pairs an organic, irregular base with a generously proportioned linen drum shade and is intended for ambient and task use in living rooms, bedrooms and home offices.

The design contrasts a fluid, eroded silhouette base with a clean, slightly vertical drum shade to create a contemporary focal piece. It is available in Gilded Iron, Clear Glass and Burnished Silver Leaf finishes, giving a choice of expressive surface treatments to suit different schemes.

Construction combines metal with glass elements on select finishes and a hand-finished metallic leaf on some variants, producing visible surface texture and a tactile presence. The wide-bottomed base provides stability while the off-white linen shade (43.2cm diameter) keeps the overall effect calm and balanced.

Light is softened and diffused by the linen shade to create gentle ambient illumination suitable for relaxation or reading. The lamp uses a standard E27 keyless socket operated by a line switch beneath the shade, delivering practical, controllable light without integrated electronics.
