STORY

The Visual Comfort Bryant Wrapped Tail Sconce is a decorative wall light from the Bryant range, designed by Thomas O'Brien for Visual Comfort. It pairs a slim metal skeleton with a long leather-wrapped tail and a tapered linen shade for considered indoor illumination.

The design intent is vertical elegance: a slim, elongated rod rises from a circular backplate to a tapered drum linen shade, while an extended wrapped tail drops below the mounting. It is available in three finish and leather combinations: Polished Nickel with Natural Leather, Bronze with Saddle Leather, and Hand-Rubbed Antique Brass with Chocolate Leather.

Construction combines a dark metal rod and round mounting plate with a rich chocolate-coloured leather wrap, stitched vertically to emphasise a handcrafted quality. The hand-rubbed antique brass finish appears as a deep, dark bronze tone, contributing to a layered, textural aesthetic.

The linen shade gently diffuses the internal lamp to produce a soft upward and downward glow, creating ambient warmth and controlled shadow rather than direct glare.
