STORY

The Visual Comfort Bristol Single Sconce, designed by Aerin Lauder for Visual Comfort, updates a classic elongated wall light with sculptural detailing. The design pairs a slender metal stem with a tapered linen shade to deliver considered, ambient illumination for living rooms, studies and circulation spaces.

The form is deliberately vertical: a looped stem and notched detailing create a geometric profile while a long, needle-like finial provides a torch-like punctuation. The Bristol is offered in Gilded Iron and Aged Iron finishes, allowing simple coordination with traditional and contemporary schemes.

Construction uses a metal body matched with an off-white, finely textured linen shade, creating a balanced contrast between the dark metallic components and the soft fabric diffuser. A concentric-ridged circular backplate gives a neat, architectural mounting point.

The tapered linen shade sits over a single lamp to diffuse light both upwards and downwards while softening lateral glare, producing warm, ambient illumination rather than focused task light. The fitting is rated IP20 and therefore intended for indoor, dry-zone locations.

The Bristol requires a single lamp behind the shade; please confirm lamp type and dimming compatibility from full technical details when specifying. The product includes a 1 year warranty; mounting is via the circular backplate to a standard vertical surface.
