STORY

The Visual Comfort Brenta Single Sconce, designed by Aerin Lauder, is a decorative wall-mounted luminaire that pairs elongated glass cylinders with a compact metal collar and square backplate. Its minimalist, pill-shaped profile is intended for indoor use where a refined ambient wash is required.

The design presents two cylindrical glass shades projecting from a central metal bracket; the fixture is offered in Bronze and Hand‑Rubbed Antique Brass finishes and can be mounted vertically or horizontally to suit the scheme. The central metal collar neatly bisects the illuminated sections, creating a clean, modern silhouette.

Construction combines metal structural components with layered glass shades. The glass shows a frosted inner core enclosed within a clear outer cylinder for depth and a soft glowing effect, while the metal parts have a dark, smooth finish that anchors the composition.

The Brenta delivers bi-directional illumination, emitting light upwards and downwards through the glass cylinders to create balanced ambient light and subtle shadow. As a hardwired wall sconce it is suited to general and accent lighting in living spaces, circulation areas and bedrooms where IP20 rating is appropriate.
