STORY

The Visual Comfort Blaze Wall Sconce by Visual Comfort, designed in collaboration with Waterford for the Blaze range, pairs a slender metal stem with a clear, deeply faceted crystal shade. It is a decorative wall-mounted light intended to deliver ambient and accent illumination in interior settings.

Its minimalist 'stick' aesthetic is defined by a long vertical cylindrical rod that extends above and below a flat, rectangular backplate, creating a linear, balanced silhouette. The sconce is offered in Polished Nickel, Natural Brass and Bronze finishes and is available in Tail and Short size options.

Construction combines a metal frame with a clear crystal, truncated-cone shade characterised by deep vertical, jagged facets. The metal components include a dark bronze matte finish option and the stem terminates in a flared, chalice-like cup that supports the shade.

The light source sits within the faceted crystal so illumination refracts through the vertical cuts, casting complex light patterns. This makes the sconce especially suitable where atmosphere, texture and subtle patterning enhance a hallway, living room or hospitality setting.
