STORY

The Visual Comfort Benit Pendant, designed by Aerin Lauder for the Benit range, is a shell‑inspired ceiling pendant that brings an organic, coastal note to interior schemes. Its sculpted metal form suits hallways, living rooms, bedrooms and dining areas where a tactile focal light is required.

The pendant’s wide, shallow bowl has an irregular, undulating rim and raised, vein‑like ridges that give a handcrafted appearance. It is offered in Burnished Silver Leaf, Gild & Gilded Plaster, and Plaster White & Gild to suit both muted and layered palettes.

Constructed in metal, the shade and matching canopy show a heavily textured, pitted surface with dark antiquing in the recesses. The fixture is suspended by three inner chains that converge to a decorative central chain and round canopy, reinforcing the artisanal metalwork aesthetic.

Light is delivered from four internal E14 candelabra sockets (maximum 40W per socket). The open‑top bowl allows light to lift and diffuse through the room, providing ambient illumination and a soft interplay of shadow around the scalloped rim. Lamps are not included.
