STORY

The Visual Comfort Axis Floor Lamp from the Axis range, designed by Kelly Wearstler, is a modern pharmacy‑style floor lamp that balances minimal geometry with directed performance. Its linear silhouette and metal finish bring a considered, architectural presence to living rooms, studies and reading corners.

The lamp is defined by a slender rectangular post rising from a low‑profile rectangular weighted base and a horizontal cylindrical head that intersects the post in a clean T‑junction. The Axis is available in Bronze and Antique‑Burnished Brass finishes, allowing it to sit with both warm and cooler interior palettes.

Construction emphasises crisp geometry and a slim profile: a matte brushed metal finish, a solid base for stability and a cantilevered head that projects light away from the stand. The horizontal head extends beyond the post on both sides, creating a deliberately balanced asymmetry.

Light is delivered through a long recessed aperture on the underside of the cylindrical head, directing light strictly downwards for task use while minimising glare. This makes the Axis well suited to desk and seating-side placement where controlled, practical illumination is required.

Technical notes: the lamp carries an IP20 rating and is intended for indoor use. A manufacturer warranty is provided; confirm specific warranty terms and whether lamps or an LED source are included in the product technical specification before finalising installation requirements.
