STORY

The Visual Comfort Axis Medium Sconce, designed by Kelly Wearstler for the Axis range, is a decorative interior wall sconce with a vertical cylindrical light rod and minimalist geometry. The example shown is finished in Antique-Burnished Brass, which gives a warm, brushed metallic appearance.

The design pares forms back to a vertical rod, a short square-profile arm and a rectangular backplate, creating a crisp architectural intersection at the base. The Axis Medium is available in Polished Nickel, Bronze and Antique-Burnished Brass to suit a range of schemes.

Construction is characterised by a slim cylindrical light bar, a recessed vertical channel for the light source, a short horizontal arm and a rectangular mounting plate. The brushed finish highlights the fitting's clean lines and geometric intent.

A recessed integrated LED strip sits within the rod to deliver controlled linear illumination with reduced glare. The sconce is intended as accent or ambient layering: use it for hallways, paired over artwork or grouped to define a circulation route.

The fixture mounts to the wall via its rectangular backplate, with the arm positioning the light close to the surface.
