STORY

The Visual Comfort Avant Large Linear Pendant, designed by Kelly Wearstler for Visual Comfort's Avant range, is a large linear pendant in metal with frosted glass. It is intended to deliver downward task and ambient illumination over elongated surfaces such as kitchen islands and dining tables.

The fixture features a long horizontal shade with a continuous, undulating ribbon-like geometry that reads as sculptural while directing light downwards. It is suspended from a rectangular ceiling canopy by three rigid downrods for stability and level mounting and is available in Bronze and Antique-Burnished Brass.

The shade and canopy are metal, with the Antique-Burnished Brass finish hand-applied to reveal subtle surface variation and a bespoke character. Frosted glass diffusers sit beneath the wavy metal shade to soften and distribute light from the internal sources. The opaque metal surface acts as a reflector, focusing output toward the surface below.

Frosted diffusers reduce direct glare and create a balanced wash suitable for task or ambient lighting over dining tables, kitchen islands and long furniture runs. The wide linear profile is specifically designed to serve long interior spaces where even, downward illumination is required.

The pendant uses three segmented downrods, which allow height adjustment during installation; for custom height options please contact our sales team. The product is rated IP20 for internal, dry environments and is supplied with a one year warranty.
