STORY

The Visual Comfort Avant Large Curved Sconce is a decorative wall light from the Avant range, designed by Kelly Wearstler. The piece pairs a slender, brushed metal spine with undulating frosted-glass panels to create a sculptural, gallery‑style accent suitable for hallways, living rooms and considered bathroom locations.

The design reads as a modern double‑wave or 'S' silhouette: a straight central axis set against two offset, wave‑like glass panels that create a sense of movement. It is offered in Bronze and Antique‑Burnished Brass finishes to complement warm interior schemes.

Construction combines a warm metallic central spine with translucent frosted glass panels. The glass acts as the visible diffuser while the minimal, concealed mounting keeps the overall profile clean and uninterrupted—a deliberate detail for pared‑back interiors.

The frosted glass panels soften and diffuse light from the internal source, reducing glare and producing ambient illumination rather than focused task light. The slim, vertical form works well as an accent or as part of a regular rhythm of wall lights along a corridor or beside a vanity.

Practical notes: the fitting is rated IP20 for interior use and is intended for installation on flat vertical surfaces. When installing multiple sconces, leave approximately 8–10 feet (2.4–3 m) between each unit for an even spread. A 1‑year manufacturer warranty applies.
