The Visual Comfort Alice Sconce, designed by Suzanne Kasler for the Alice range, is a decorative wall-mounted sconce that pairs a tall, narrow backplate with a large suspended glass disc. The piece is intended for interior accent and ambient lighting, where a considered architectural silhouette is required.

Its design plays a deliberate contrast between the sharp, linear rectangular backplate and a floating circular glass element. The fitting is offered in a Large size and finished in a dark, textured matte surface that reads like aged iron, emphasising a vintage-industrial character.

Constructed from metal with a clear, thin glass plate suspended by an oversized ring-and-loop and a hinged joint, the Alice reveals craft-focused details. A single candle-style socket sits on a small shelf and is dressed with an off‑white candle sleeve, framing the bulb as a focal point.

The sconce is designed to house a single torpedo or flame‑shaped candelabra bulb, creating a framed, intimate glow suitable for layered lighting schemes and accenting architectural features. The glass disc acts as a visual portal, enlarging the bulb’s presence without dominating the composition.
