STORY

The Visual Comfort Alberto Large Two Tier Sconce, designed by Julie Neill for the Alberto range, is a decorative wall light that reads as a sculptural object as much as a lamp. Its biomorphic form references blooming lotus or tulip shapes and is intended to provide vertical accent and ambient light in hallways, dining rooms or larger living spaces.

The design is centred on a long, slim vertical stem supporting two tiered, petal-shaped shades. The fixture is offered in Antique Gold Leaf and Plaster White, allowing the sconce to act either as a quiet, chalky architectural element or a warmer antique-toned accent.

Constructed from metal with a textured, mortar-like finish, the sconce has a hand-applied surface that gives the petals and stem a cast-plaster appearance. A clean-lined rectangular backplate and short arm complete the mounting, reinforcing the fixture's considered, architectural presence.

Light sources sit within the petal cups and are directed upward, producing a soft glow through the openings of the blooms. This arrangement delivers gentle, wall-wash ambient light and reduced direct glare, making the piece suitable for accenting vertical circulation spaces or flanking a mantel or console.
