STORY

Visual Comfort Aiden Large Tail Sconce, designed by Chapman & Myers for the Aiden range, blends mid-century and medieval influences in a decorative wall light. The piece uses hand-worked metal textures and a calla-lily inspired flare to provide a considered accent for indoor spaces.

The design centres on a long, slender vertical stem that flares at the top into a petal-like form, creating the collection's distinctive 'tail' silhouette. This sconce is offered in a single Gilded Iron finish so the textured metal remains the defining visual element.

Constructed in metal with a square mounting backplate and a short horizontal arm, the fixture shows a deliberately hammered, pitted surface achieved through hand-applied techniques. The sconce is topped with a tapered, off-white fabric shade that completes the sculptural profile.

The light source sits within the flared top of the stem and is softened by the fabric shade, producing gentle ambient illumination ideal for accent and circulation spaces. The elongated tail provides a vertical architectural emphasis while the shade helps maintain balance and control of shadow for a calm atmosphere.

This fitting is rated IP20 and intended for indoor use only. The square backplate secures the unit to the wall while the extended tail should be considered when siting to avoid obstruction. The product carries a one-year manufacturer warranty.
