Vistosi Assiba Table Lamp

The Vistosi Assiba Table Lamp is a sculptural table lamp by Mauro Olivieri for Vistosi. Part of the Assiba range, it pairs textured glass elements with a low-profile glossy chrome base to deliver considered ambient lighting for living rooms, bedrooms and desk surfaces.

The design uses two nested, horn-shaped glass diffusers with an asymmetrical silhouette where the inner element emerges at a divergent angle from the outer shell. This sculptural form reads as a decorative object whether lit or unlit.

Both glass components carry a raised balotton (diamond‑quilted) texture across their exterior. The outer, lower diffuser is opaque white with a matte or satin finish, while the inner, upper diffuser is translucent with a silvery‑grey textured grid, all mounted on a thin circular glossy chrome base.

The Assiba lamp’s dual-layered glass is designed to diffuse and layer light: top‑facing openings project light upwards while the textured bodies scatter light horizontally for a soft ambient glow. The combination of opacities creates visual balance between warmth and clarity, reducing harsh shadow and providing atmosphere rather than focused task light.
