Tala Bower Pendant

The Tala Bower Pendant is a design-led ceiling pendant from the Bower range by Tala, conceived as a contemporary reinterpretation of an industrial classic. Constructed around a coolie-style conical shade, the fitting is intended to provide considered overhead downlighting in dry indoor spaces.

The pendant balances a sharply tapered metal shade with a large, matte white spherical globe that protrudes below the rim, creating a deliberate contrast between linear and rounded forms. The Bower is offered in Yellow, Green and Oyster White and is available in Small, Medium and Large sizes to suit different proportions.

Materials are honest and tactile: the shade is formed from hand-spun steel with a smooth, off-white or cream-like finish and connects to the suspension via an anodised aluminium collar. The detailing and finish reflect traditional metal-spinning and anodising processes for a durable, high-quality result.

Functionally the wide aperture of the coolie shade directs light into an even, downward spread, while the large spherical globe softens the output to reduce glare. The pendant is pre-paired with Tala’s Sphere IV globe and benefits from a high CRI of 95 for accurate colour rendering—suitable for living, dining and hospitality settings that need both clarity and atmosphere.

The Bower is a modular system: the shade separates from the pendant assembly to allow repairability and future customisation. It uses a standard E27 lamp holder (pre-paired with a Sphere IV), is suspended on a thin white cable and is rated IP20 for indoor use. A manufacturer warranty of around 2–3 years is provided.
