Quintiesse Chance Semi-flush Ceiling Light

The Quintiesse Chance Semi-flush Ceiling Light is a decorative ambient fitting from the Chance range by Quintiesse. Its shallow, semi‑flush profile is designed for general room illumination and works well where ceiling height is limited while still providing architectural presence.

Formally the Chance presents a drum-like body with a flower‑shaped, scalloped edge formed by convex vertical segments and narrow uprights. Rivet detailing around the top and bottom rims and the trio of curved support arms rising to a circular canopy give the fitting a lantern‑like, transitional character. It is available in Polished Nickel with Polished White, Heritage Brass and Blackened Brass.

Construction centres on a robust metal frame with a brushed, satin texture and an opaque, matt opal glass diffuser that follows the scalloped profile. A small central finial secures the diffuser to the frame; the visible riveted joins emphasise the fitting's crafted, durable aesthetic.

The etched opal diffuser softens and disperses light, reducing glare and giving evenly distributed downlight with a modest amount of upward ambient spill from the open upper section. The fixture accommodates two internal lamps to deliver substantial ambient output and suits living rooms, hallways and bedrooms where balanced, softened illumination is required.

This fitting takes 2 x E27 lamps (up to 60W incandescent equivalent per lamp) or LED equivalents; lamps are not included. The Chance is dimmable when used with a compatible dimmer (dimmer not supplied). The semi‑flush stem maintains good head clearance while the canopy provides a straightforward ceiling fix; the central finial gives access for diffuser removal and lamp replacement.
