The Foscarini Spokes Suspension is a pendant designed by Garcia Cumini for the Spokes range. Its ovoid, lantern-like form is defined by a fine metal spoke cage and is intended to provide ambient and directed interior lighting.

Spokes is built around a rounded, cage-like frame of thin vertical spokes that allow light to filter through, projecting a pattern of solids and voids. The collection is offered in several sizes and finishes to suit different interior scales.

The structure uses matte epoxy powder-coated steel spokes attached to upper ABS/polycarbonate discs and a lower aluminium module that also acts as a heat dissipator. A discreet stainless-steel suspension cable and a transparent electrical cord complete the suspension.

Light is produced by integrated LED boards housed in the compact lower module; illumination is directed downwards and through the wire frame to create ambient light with distinctive shadowing. The fitting is rated IP20 for indoor use.

The lamp includes a ceiling canopy with a galvanised metal bracket and a glossy ABS cover; power is routed through selected spokes so there is no exposed wiring within the cage. Manufacturer warranty is one year.

Are lamps or bulbs included?

The Spokes uses integrated LED boards housed in the lower aluminium module; there are no user-replaceable lamps.

Can I use Spokes in a bathroom or outdoors?

No. The fitting has an IP20 rating and is specified for dry indoor spaces only.

How is the pendant suspended and is the canopy supplied?

It suspends from a stainless-steel cable with a transparent electrical cord. A ceiling canopy with a galvanised bracket and ABS cover is supplied.

Is internal wiring visible inside the cage?

No. Power is routed through selected spokes so there is no exposed internal wiring within the luminaire.
