Flos Noctambule Floor Lamp

The Flos Noctambule floor lamp, designed by Konstantin Grcic for the Noctambule range, is a modular standing light built from stacked blown-glass cylinders topped by a semi-spherical bowl. The totem-like column reaches 2.17 metres and reads as both a discreet light source and an architectural object.

The design pairs clear cylindrical modules with horizontal metal rings that house injection-moulded opal silicone diffusers, producing bands of warm, balanced light where glass meets structure. This vertical arrangement keeps the form visually light while giving it a sculptural presence.

Construction is engineered for clarity and durability: transparent blown glass, a matte die-cast aluminium base and rings, hydroformed steel internal lateral arms and optical opal silicone outer ring diffusers. The power cable is 2 metres long and the unit sits independently on its flat base.

Light is delivered from integrated ring sources set between the glass modules. The specification lists 54W, 1493 lm output at 2700K with CRI>90; the fitting contains the light source and LEDs are replaceable by a professional. The lamp carries an IP20 rating and is intended for indoor use.

Practical notes: a pedal-operated control allows smooth dimming from 10% to 100%. The fitting uses an electronic 48V wall-mounted power supply with interchangeable plugs. A two-year manufacturer warranty is provided.
