Flos Glo-Ball Floor Lamp

The Flos Glo-Ball Floor Lamp, designed by Jasper Morrison for the Glo-Ball range, pairs a flattened opaline glass globe with a slim, architectural stem to produce calm, even ambient light for interiors.

Its distinctive squashed-sphere diffuser is hand‑blown and externally acid‑etched for a softly glowing finish. The lamp is offered in Matt Black and Silver finishes, allowing the piece to read either as a quiet, high‑contrast sculptural object or a lighter metallic presence.

Construction combines a flashed opaline glass diffuser secured by a die‑cast threaded ring nut with alodine plating and a die‑cast aluminium diffuser support, mounted to a high‑thickness painted steel stem and a flat weighted base. The finish is matt and non‑reflective to maintain a refined silhouette.

Light is delivered as soft, diffuse ambient illumination through the large opal globe, reducing glare and producing an even pool of light suitable as a primary ambient source or a decorative layer in living spaces. The lamp accepts an E27 lamp (not included) as specified by the manufacturer and is shown with opal diffusion for balanced ambience.

The lamp includes an electronic dimmer mounted on the cable which allows regulation of brightness at the fitting. It carries an IP40 rating for indoor use and the manufacturer warranty is two years. Note that lamps and any additional base pads are supplied separately as per the product listing.
