Formally the chandelier is arranged in two tiers — an outer ring of 12 lights and an inner ring of 6 — supported by distinctive hand-bound wire drapes that descend from a central cap. The open, wire-based structure creates a large volumetric presence while maintaining visual transparency.

The construction uses numerous thin, dark-toned metal wires gathered into bundles and draped to hold the candle-style sockets. Each socket sits within an ivory-coloured candle tube above a small dark metal saucer-shaped bobeche, producing the characteristic contrast between dark metal and pale candle tubes.
