DCW éditions Mantis Wall Lamp is a Bernard Schottlander design from the Mantis range. This cantilevered wall lamp translates mid-century modern form into a functional decorative light, providing adjustable, directional task or ambient lighting from a wall-fixed position.

The lamp’s asymmetrical, spindly frame and long, angled arm create a poised, sculptural silhouette inspired by a praying mantis. The exterior is finished in matte black while the inner shade is a light off-white to maximise reflection; a fine chain and exposed joints form part of the lamp’s tension and balance system.

Constructed from thin metal rods with a broad flared conical shade and a small brass-coloured pivot detail, the piece reads as both industrial and elegant. The chain-linked counterweight and pivot at the shade allow deliberate, controlled adjustment of the light direction without detracting from the profile.
