The Artemide Demetra Desk Lamp is a precision task light from the Demetra range, designed by Naoto Fukasawa. This version is offered as a table lamp with options for a table base, clamp or fixed support and sits within a family that also includes reading, wall and spot variants.

Demetra is pared-back and architectural in form. The design uses repeating circular elements for the base and head and a slim, angled arm with thin stay‑cables for tension — creating a minimalist silhouette. It is available in Opaque Black, White and Anthracite Grey.

The head and arms are formed from painted aluminium and the articulated mechanism includes multi‑axial joints at the stem, elbow and head. A thin cable system runs alongside the upper arm to provide structural balance while maintaining a lightweight profile.

Light is delivered from an integrated source mounted in the underside of the flat, circular head to produce a focused downwards beam suited to desk and task lighting. The model offers precise positioning and glare‑controlled task illumination. The table version can be specified with an MD motion detector option that switches the lamp on and off in response to movement.
