Sunset synchronized scenes

Rather than abrupt changes, this approach uses gradual scene transitions timed to local sunset. As daylight fades, artificial lighting slowly increases and shifts to warmer color temperatures.

Approach Detail

Program 4-6 transition scenes between full daylight operation and evening mode. Begin shifting 60-90 minutes before sunset. Gradually increase artificial light levels while shifting CCT from 4000K toward 2700-3000K. Full evening mode should be achieved 30-45 minutes after sunset. Use astronomical timeclock.

Key Fixtures

Tunable white LED fixtures, astronomical timeclock controllers, DALI or DMX dimming system, scene-setting control panels

Designer Notes

Create a sequence of 4-6 renders showing progression from late afternoon through evening. Show CCT shift through material rendering—white surfaces should appear progressively warmer.
