Vertical mirror flanking

The most flattering fitting room lighting comes from the sides, not above. Vertical linear fixtures or sconces flanking the mirror wrap light around the face and body, eliminating the harsh under-eye and under-chin shadows that overhead lighting creates.

Medium Mid-Range
Approach Detail

Position vertical light sources on both sides of the mirror, extending from approximately 60cm above floor to 200cm height. Sources should be diffused (opal lens, fabric shade) to create soft illumination. Target 1:1 ratio left to right. Add minimal overhead fill (not as primary source). CCT 2700-3000K for flattering skin tones.

Key Fixtures

Vertical linear LED profiles with opal diffuser, wall sconces, backlit panels, mirror-integrated lighting
