Directional wall mounted sconce

Directional wall mounted sconce

Wall-mounted swing-arm or adjustable sconces positioned at head height beside the bed provide focused, directional reading light that can be aimed at the book without spilling across the bed. This frees up nightstand space and keeps cords off surfaces. The key is choosing fixtures with narrow beam spread and individual controls.

Medium Mid-Range
Approach Detail

Mount swing-arm or adjustable sconces 48-52 inches above floor (head height when propped against pillows). Position 6-12 inches to the side of the pillow. Each side of bed needs its own switch—ideally a rotary dimmer on the fixture or touch-dim control. Use warm white LEDs (2700K) with focused beam. Matte black or similar finish reduces reflections.

Key Fixtures
