Recessed wet rated shower light

Recessed wet rated shower light

Wet-rated (IP65 or higher) recessed downlights are the standard solution for illuminating showers and tub areas. These fixtures feature sealed housings and appropriate trim ratings for direct water exposure. Proper placement avoids direct spray while ensuring even coverage throughout the shower space.

Medium Mid-Range
Approach Detail

Install wet-rated (IP65 minimum, preferably IP67) recessed fixtures centered in the shower. For larger showers, use multiple fixtures to avoid shadows. Position outside direct spray paths when possible. Use warm white LED (2700-3000K) modules. Ensure trim and housing both have appropriate wet ratings—the most common mistake is using a wet-rated housing with dry-rated trim.

Key Fixtures

IP65/IP67 rated recessed downlights; wet-rated recessed trims; marine-grade recessed fixtures; steam-rated fixtures for steam showers
