Foscarini Rituals Table Lamp

The Foscarini Rituals Table Lamp, designed by Ludovica Serafini and Roberto Palomba for the Rituals range, pairs a voluminous blown‑glass diffuser with a slender metal tripod to deliver considered ambient light. The diffuser's matt, plaster-like finish and horizontal creases give the piece a calm, sculptural presence.

Its elongated ovoid form is marked by fine, concentric ridges that catch and soften the lamp's output. The visual contrast between the heavy glass body and the delicate three‑leg stand is central to the design language, a balance that references traditional paper lantern silhouettes.

The diffuser is hand‑blown glass that undergoes manual grinding and an acid‑immersion process to emphasise a plaster-like texture. The glass rests on a die‑cast zinc alloy tripod finished with an epoxy powder coat; the result is a tactile combination of crafted glass and durable metalwork.

The ridged glass surface acts as the primary diffuser, producing a warm, vibrant glow with soft shadowing and an even atmosphere. As a table lamp it provides ambient illumination suited to living spaces, side tables and consoles where a gentle, textured light is required.

Fitted with an E27 lampholder (lamp not included) the lamp accepts bulbs up to 105W. An on/off switch and a cable‑mounted dimmer allow gradual brightness adjustment. The fitting is rated IP20 for indoor use only.
