The Flos Gatto Piccolo Table Lamp, designed by Achille Castiglioni for the Gatto range, is a mid-century modern table lamp defined by its organic hourglass silhouette and seamless, skin-like diffuser. The form is recognisably 1960s yet quietly contemporary, intended to give softly diffused ambient light for desks, bedside tables and side surfaces.

Its biomorphic shape is created by a semi-translucent "cocoon" resin membrane stretched over a white powder‑coated internal steel armature, producing rhythmic vertical ribbing and an even glow. The gently flared base and compact footprint make it suitable for tabletop placement without dominating a scheme.

The outer resin acts as the diffuser, softening and distributing the lamp's output to create balanced ambience and minimise direct glare. The lamp is compatible with E14 lamps; manufacturer listings include LED options (8–9W) and a halogen 60W equivalent. Lamps are not included.

An electronic dimmer is fitted on the cable to regulate light brightness. The fitting is rated IP20 for indoor use and carries a one-year manufacturer warranty. No external driver or transformer is required for the specified E14 lamp types.
