DCW éditions AARO Desk Lamp, designed by Simon Schmitz, is a considered table light that uses a sphere as its defining element. The AARO family translates a simple gesture into a delicately balanced task lamp, intended for focused desk and worktop use.

The design centres on a solid spherical pivot that enables multi-directional rotation and tilt. A long, slender upper arm is balanced by a solid counterweight sphere at one end and a thin annular lamp head at the other. The lamp is finished in a uniform matte black coating and maintains an exceptionally slender profile.

Construction is expressed through thin metal rod supports and a low-profile cylindrical base. The geometry combines solid spheres and a hollow ring to create an airy, skeletal silhouette while the base conceals the support and power exit point.

The ring-shaped head indicates integrated LED technology and is arranged to provide focused downward illumination suitable for task lighting. The multi-directional spherical joint and counterweight system allow stable positioning across a wide reach, letting the lamp be directed precisely where light is needed.
