STORY

The Visual Comfort Toulon Table Lamp, designed by Aerin Lauder, is a decorative table light from the Toulon range that introduces tactile, organic form to bedrooms and living rooms. The piece references coral and volcanic surfaces through its reactive glazed ceramic body while retaining a composed, transitional profile.

Formally the lamp presents an ovoid silhouette with a horizontal ribbed band around the midsection, creating a contrast between organic texture and architectural detail. It is offered in two appearance options: Beaded Blue Porcelain and Volcanic Ivory.

Constructed from plaster/ceramic with a reactive glaze, the base is finished with solid brass hardware and is paired with an off-white linen tapered drum shade. The manufacturer notes that reactive ceramic glazes will vary in colour and texture, making each piece subtly unique.

Light is delivered through an E27 keyless socket controlled by a line switch; the shade diffuses output for soft ambient illumination while allowing some directional light through the top and bottom openings. Overall dimensions are Height 69.2cm and Width 43.2cm; base diameter is 13.3cm and shade dimensions are approximately 33cm x 43.2cm x 34.3cm. The fitting is IP20 and Class II, intended for indoor use.
