STORY

The Visual Comfort Sarnen Pendant by Aerin Lauder is a ceiling-mounted pendant that pairs a hand-applied gild metal upper with a translucent white glass lower, forming a striking bi-conical, diamond silhouette. The design delivers focused downward illumination through the glass diffuser while keeping a minimalist, architectural profile.

The pendant’s form is defined by geometric symmetry: two cones joined at their widest points, a slim rigid stem and a conical ceiling canopy that echoes the shade. It is offered in Gild, Matt Black and Matt White and is available in Small and Medium sizes.

Construction combines a metal upper shade finished with a living, hand-applied gild treatment and a lower section of white glass that functions as a softening diffuser. A small decorative neck sits where the stem meets the shade, and the stem includes a central coupling that suggests a modular assembly for varying ceiling heights.

The white glass diffuses light to reduce glare and create a calm, balanced ambience beneath the pendant, making it suitable for general and task-orientated downward illumination in dry indoor spaces. Note the product carries an IP20 rating and is intended for interior use only.
