STORY

The Visual Comfort Reese Pendant, designed by Marie Flanigan for the Reese range, is a conical ceiling pendant that pairs clear seeded restoration glass with streamlined metalwork. Its four‑light candelabra cluster provides warm ambient illumination suitable for kitchens, living rooms and hallways.

The form reads as restrained vintage: a large tapered conical shade in clear restoration glass is supported by a central rod and three thin decorative chains that create a tripod‑like silhouette. The Reese is offered in Soft Brass, Polished Nickel and Bronze, and comes in Small and Large sizes with a clear seeded shade option.

Construction combines metal and glass with visible craft cues — a thin supporting rim at the top of the glass, a wider decorative metal band at the lower edge and cream‑coloured faux candle sleeves around the lamp cluster. The seeded glass gives a subtly handcrafted, textural appearance that softens the light.

Light is directed downward through the open‑bottom shade, giving clear task and ambient illumination while making bulb access straightforward. The chain‑hung suspension allows adjustment of the hanging height to suit different ceilings; the pictured finish shows a dark, matte metal, emphasising a transitional industrial character.
