STORY

The Visual Comfort Rachel Flush Mount is a small decorative ceiling light from the Rachel range, designed by Alexa Hampton. This surface-mounted fitting pairs a shallow, rounded white glass dome with a detailed metal surround to provide considered ambient illumination in indoor spaces.

Its form balances a minimalist glass diffuser against a highly textured, scalloped metal border that echoes a stylised lotus motif. The Rachel is offered in Gun Metal, Natural Brass and Polished Nickel and is supplied in a small size suited to compact ceilings.

Construction combines a metal frame with an opaque white glass shade. A small cylindrical finial in the same metal finish sits at the centre of the dome and serves as the decorative fixing for the glass shade.

The glass dome softens and diffuses the internal lamp output to reduce glare and create an even ambient wash of light. As a low-profile flush mount it is particularly suitable for rooms with lower ceilings where a streamlined fixture is required.
