STORY

The Visual Comfort Presidio Pendant Lantern, designed by Ian K. Fowler, is a ceiling-mounted pendant lantern that modernises a traditional lantern silhouette. The Presidio Small Lantern pairs a tapered, four-sided metal cage with a central glass cylinder to present a considered, architectural form.

Its design contrasts the sharp, trapezoidal outer frame with the smooth circular glass hurricane at the centre. The Presidio is offered in Polished Nickel and Hand‑Rubbed Antique Brass to suit both cool and warm interior palettes.

Constructed with a metal outer cage and a transparent internal glass cylinder secured by a circular metal band, the fitting is completed with a square ceiling canopy, a short length of chain links and a solid vertical downrod for a distinctive architectural suspension detail.

The open-frame layout allows light to radiate in all directions without obstruction and is designed for a single vertically oriented tubular filament bulb. The lantern is typically specified for decorative indoor locations such as kitchen islands, dining tables, entryways, hallways and living spaces.

The fitting carries an IP20 rating and is intended for indoor use only. The chain links allow minor adjustment to hanging height; for custom overall heights please contact our sales team.
