STORY

The Visual Comfort Phoebe Table Lamp, designed by Kelly Wearstler for the Phoebe range, is a sculptural table lamp that pairs a stacked reactive ceramic base with brass metalwork and an off‑white tapered drum shade. It is intended to provide ambient or close task lighting in bedrooms, living rooms and home offices.

The lamp’s form centres on six flattened, rounded discs stacked vertically to create a pebble‑like silhouette. It stands 73.7cm high with an overall width of 43.2cm; the tapered fabric shade measures approximately 33cm x 43.2cm x 33cm. The Phoebe is available in Crystal Bronze and Antiqued White finishes.

Constructed from plaster/ceramic, the base is finished with reactive glazes that will vary in colour and surface texture from piece to piece. Brushed brass‑finish metal details include a slim cylindrical neck, a flat circular base plate and a small finial that secures the shade. The lamp weighs 9.1kg, providing a reassuringly stable presence.

Light is delivered through the off‑white woven shade which softens and diffuses illumination while directing light both upwards and downwards for comfortable ambience or task use. The lamp uses an internal E27 keyless socket positioned beneath the shade to house the light source.

Practical product notes: the table lamp features an E27 keyless socket with a line switch for on/off control, a 16.5cm round base plate for stability, an IP20 rating and Class II construction. The product carries a 1 year manufacturer warranty. Please note reactive ceramic glazes will vary, giving each lamp unique surface character.
