STORY

The Visual Comfort Parkwood Table Lamp, designed by Kate Spade for Visual Comfort, is a decorative table lamp that combines an artisanal ceramic base with a clean geometric shade. It is intended to provide localised illumination and a considered bedside accent in bedrooms and other interior spaces.

The Parkwood pairs a squat, bulbous ceramic base with a cylindrical drum shade to create a balanced contemporary silhouette. The lamp is offered in Natural Bisque and Black Pearl appearance options to suit different schemes.

The ceramic base is finished with a reactive glaze, so colour saturation and surface texture will vary across each piece; the motif shows an oversized stylised leaf pattern in charcoal and slate tones against a cream background. The shade is an off-white fabric with subtle texture, and metal details including the neck and spherical finial appear in a brushed brass tone. The base has a flattened underside for stability on side tables and consoles.

The lamp delivers controlled, localised light suitable for bedside reading or soft ambient use. The drum shade and harp temper glare while directing light downwards and around the immediate area. Note the fitting carries an IP20 rating and is intended for indoor dry-room use only.
