The Visual Comfort Oxford Bath Sconce, designed by Chapman & Myers for the Oxford range, is a decorative wall light that pairs classic architectural form with contemporary practicality. The fixture presents a linear, triple-tiered silhouette with a central frosted glass cylinder between two metal end caps, intended for vertical wall mounting.
The design emphasises symmetry and rhythm: raised horizontal rings delineate the metal caps and glass, producing a calm, sculptural presence on the wall. The Oxford is offered in Antique Burnished Brass, Bronze and Polished Nickel and is available in Small and Medium sizes to suit different mirror heights and wall proportions.
Built from metal and white frosted glass, the sconce combines a hand-applied, patinated metal finish with an opaque diffuser. The warm, aged metallic appearance gives the fitting a classic, lived-in character while the frosted glass provides a uniform, matte surface for light transmission.
Light is delivered as soft, diffused ambient illumination: the central frosted panel shields internal lamps and reduces glare, making the Oxford suitable for creating balanced, flattering light when used in pairs beside a mirror or as gentle hallway illumination. The symmetrical form controls shadow and contributes to an even atmosphere.
The standard finish is supplied with an IP20 rating; an IP44 option is available on request for bathroom applications where higher ingress protection is required.
