STORY

The Visual Comfort Olsen Table Lamp, designed by Aerin Lauder, is a cordless alabaster table lamp that pairs a faceted natural stone base with a white linen drum shade to provide considered ambient light for side tables, desks and bedsides.

Its tapered, faceted base narrows toward the top in an architectural, polygonal silhouette. A brushed gold-toned neck separates the stone and shade, creating a quiet contrast between the organic veining of the alabaster and refined metal detailing.

The base is carved from natural alabaster, showing white and grey veining and a semi-translucent quality; the shade is a fine-weave white linen that gently diffuses the internal light source. The weight and wide footprint of the base give reliable stability on flat surfaces.

The lamp uses a rechargeable internal LED light source that is diffused through the linen shade to produce a soft, ambient glow for accent and general illumination. The cordless design and included charging cord allow portable placement around the home. The fitting is intended for indoor use and carries an IP20 rating.
