The Visual Comfort Morton Table Lamp, designed by Aerin Lauder for the Morton range, is a table lamp that pairs a prominent globe base with a classic fabric shade. The silhouette blends traditional and contemporary cues and is intended for interior use on end tables, bedside units or desks where considered ambient illumination is required.

The oversized spherical base is a defining feature, finished in a burnished silver leaf with a mottled, antiqued texture and topped by a gilded, gold-toned cap and neck. The Morton is offered in Gild and Clear appearances and in Large and Small sizes, giving straightforward choices to suit different scales and arrangements.

Construction combines metalwork with a tapered off-white fabric shade; the metal pedestal and neck are gold-toned and the base is finished in silver leaf, while a clear spherical finial secures the shade. The silver leaf’s mottled surface gives an artisanal, hand-applied character that contrasts with the polished gold accents.

The tapered shade diffuses light softly and directs illumination both upwards and downwards, producing gentle local ambient light rather than concentrated task lighting. The broad globe base provides a low centre of gravity for stable placement on flat surfaces, making the lamp appropriate as a pair on an end table or as a singular accent on a console.

This table lamp is rated IP20 and intended for indoor use only; it is not suitable for outdoor or wet locations. The finial secures the shade to the internal harp assembly; please follow the manufacturer’s fitting instructions. Manufacturer’s warranty: 1 years.
