STORY

The Visual Comfort Mina Wall Sconce, designed by Sean Lavin for the Mina range, pairs a sculptural optic crystal globe with a pared-back metal backplate to deliver considered, decorative wall lighting for interior spaces. The design is intended for general and ambient illumination where a clean, contemporary accent is required.

The form is deliberately minimal: a tall, flat rectangular metal backplate with a lower section bent forward at an obtuse angle creates a resting platform for the crystal sphere. The fixture is offered in Nightshade Black and Polished Nickel finishes.

The globe is a pure optic crystal sphere with a smaller, laser‑etched translucent core that sits within the clear outer sphere. The contrast between the crisp geometric metalwork and the soft, transparent crystal gives the piece visual depth and a refined material presence.

A high‑powered LED is concealed within the socket at the base of the crystal, projecting light upward into the optic mass so illumination is distributed through the etched core rather than via a conventional shade. This method produces ambient, general light with a distinct internal glow and subtle shadowing around the sphere.

Mounting is via the flat backplate, which shows side fixing points on the visible panel for secure installation. The Mina Wall Sconce is specified with an IP20 rating and is intended for interior, dry-zone use. A one-year manufacturer warranty is provided; driver or transformer details are not specified separately.
