STORY

The Visual Comfort McClain Picture Light by J. Randall Powers is a hardwired picture light from the McClain range, designed to illuminate large, landscape-orientated artwork with a long, slim metal bar measuring approximately 30" wide.

Its design is clean-lined and minimalist, a precise horizontal silhouette with sharp geometric angles. The McClain is offered in Hand-Rubbed Antique Brass and Bronze finishes, allowing it to sit quietly within both traditional and contemporary schemes.

Constructed from metal with a textured, deep brown to charcoal surface, the finish gives the simple profile an artisanal, slightly industrial quality. The fixture mounts via two rectangular backplates connected to the light bar by short, square-profile arms for a stable, low-profile installation.

Specified as a picture light, the McClain delivers direct, downward illumination intended to evenly wash landscape-format artwork and wall decor. The generous 30" width provides a broad spread of light for larger pieces while maintaining a discreet presence on the wall.

This is a hardwired fitting and requires fixed wiring at installation; the dual-backplate arrangement aids secure mounting. The McClain is rated IP20 and is therefore suited to dry, interior locations—please consult technical specifications or contact us for lamp, driver and dimming compatibility.
