STORY

The Visual Comfort McClain Picture Light, designed by J. Randall Powers, is a pared-back wall-mounted light for illuminating framed artwork and wall displays. Its long horizontal head and clean geometry reference contemporary architectural fittings while remaining discreet above a picture.

The design uses a slim, rectangular light bar with distinctive slanted end caps to create a modern silhouette. It is offered in Hand-Rubbed Antique Brass and Bronze to suit traditional or contemporary interiors.

Construction emphasises a textured, dark metallic finish that reduces visible reflections on the fitting itself. A small rectangular wall canopy and matching short arm keep the installation low-profile and visually restrained.

The wide horizontal span of the light bar is intended to cast light evenly across a broad surface area, providing controlled, downward illumination for paintings and framed pieces. The compact canopy is designed to sit behind or just above the illuminated object for a neat presentation. The fitting is rated IP20.
